Scrumptious fare from the Du Bois Forest Kitchen

Landmeterskop’s neighbours, Karien and her daughter, Nina, have recently started a new catering venture. In their rustic kitchen they are now  preparing pre-cooked meals for our guests to make your weekend stay even more carefree and enjoyable. Nina is in her last year home-school. She says her passion for food grew slowly from an early age. More than half of the books on her bookshelf are recipe books which she reads like novels, and then by improvising and experimenting she comes up with her own delicious inventions.

She recently took over the kitchen from her mother, so now it has also become her job to feed the family which includes her two hungry brothers. This gives their mother, Karien, more time to spend in her rather large vegetable garden growing a large variety of vegetables organically.

Nina would love to one day own a restaurant, but in the meantime between all the cooking and baking, there is still school to be finished, lambs to feed, poetry to write, and a whole lot of living and loving to be done!

Orders can be placed with Valerie of Landmeterskop at least two days prior to your stay, and will be delivered to you on the first day of your stay.

Weekends: Two-night minimum stay
